With 17 years’ experience across various leading trade magazines and businesses, Sarah Fairburn is no stranger to the written word. From writing and researching, to proofreading and editing, she has a sound understanding of how best to capture a brand’s core message – and she’s passionate about it.
Sarah’s approachable manner makes her easy to work with. Her eye for detail ensures each job gets done quickly and efficiently. An exceptional ability to promptly understand each unique target audience means she hits the ground running every time.
A born storyteller
Sarah Fairburn has been a keen writer ever since she could use a pencil. She has always been interested in recording the world around her. From journaling her daily life, to penning adventure stories, it came as no surprise when she declared she was going to turn her hobby into a career.
She started out as a wide-eyed editorial assistant ready to put a stop to crimes of grammar. Sarah quickly climbed the magazine publishing ranks. She became Assistant Editor and then Editor. In these positions she worked as part of a team delivering crisp, clean copy to the drinks industry.
Sarah’s writing experience also extends to PR and communications. She has worked closely with clients across the drinks and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industries to produce tailored and timely brand exposure in both trade and consumer media.
Her inquisitive nature and drive to deliver exciting content have served her well. Her background in journalism also took her across to the travel industry. Here she worked closely with a small team to deliver a daily newsletter for the B2B industry, as well as feature writing for the company’s printed magazine.
A self-confessed reality-TV tragic, when she’s not busy tapping out copy for Good News Travels, you can find Sarah either in the kitchen, valiantly making meals her kids won’t eat, or on the field coaching her son’s soccer team.
