Worked examples

It’s understandable to want to see an example before you book. The catch is that award submissions are full of confidential details (and sometimes trade secrets), so we can’t share client submissions. Instead, we create samples, using real questions from real programs, with fictional businesses and figures. Here’s one.

Sample award answer by Good News Travels: REA Excellence Awards 2026, Game Changer of the Year, Question 1. A fictional 300-word answer written to the published criteria.

REA Excellence Awards 2026: Game Changer of the Year, Question 1

The question asks how the entrant “changed the game” in 2026: the problem or market need, the approach, and the technology or new ways of working behind it. It carries 40% of the score and a 300-word limit.

The response shows how we’d structure an answer to this question. It provides a baseline with numbers, the change and when it happened, the challenges and how they were overcome, then results the judges can check. Every part of the criteria is covered, so the judges can award full marks.

Fictional sample, written by Good News Travels to the published criteria. Not a client entry.
